Mechanical... less than 100 miles since rebuild
Notes... 1956 Plymouth Savoy, handsome turq/white exterior and interior. 270" V-8, and dash mounted push button automatic transmission gives power to the ground. Equipped with rare factory AM radio. This is a nice driving, fun to enjoy, recent restoration on a rust free North Dakota car with well preserved sheet metal. Extra insulation has been added to the floors and ceiling for a quieter and cooler ride. Vin # 15983334, a product of Virgil Exner's design team called "The Forward Look". When you see it, what strikes you, though it will take some time for you to figure it out, is the long, gentle, sweeping arc stretching uninterrupted from headlight brow to tail light tip. And those headlights, unlike the previous year's Plymouth and unlike those of Ford and Chevrolet, are hidden from the side by forward-canted hoods. The taillights are hooded with a complimentary rearward cant. It gives this Plymouth a sense of being in forward motion even while standing still. The doors open and close with a solid thunk, not a hollow metallic whap like today's cars. The front grille is a handsome, massive affair, and it looks spectacular between those hooded headlights. Because of its handsome color combination and "flight sweep" styling, this car draws a crowd. Delivery available world wide. Email for more pictures.
